pip3 install from repo not working properly #2

I have tried to install this python package using pip install (pip3 install git+https://github.com/sensorberg/MCP23017-python.git) and although its installed (pip3 list shows it up) it is later not recognized. I've figured out that the problem is that the files are not transfered from the temporal folder where the repo is installed to the final folder where it is used py python itself.

I'm using Linux on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with python 3.8.
