Document the Decisions type incompatibility
For Sorbet users whose annotations expect the previous narrower Decisions input union, #999 demonstrably introduces new type errors, but this entry presents the change as an ordinary feature and omits the migration guidance required by VERSIONING.md:14,22-24. This can cause an unexpected CI failure after upgrading; update the authoritative release input to explain that consumers may need to widen their annotations or handling, then regenerate the changelog.

Surface the Realtime union widening
For Sorbet or RBS consumers that narrow Realtime event items or response outputs to the previous union, #979 adds ConversationItemWithReference across the exported getter and constructor types, so upgrading can introduce new static type errors even though this entry describes only generated-file ownership. Document the added union member and the need to update exhaustive handling or annotations in the authoritative release input, then regenerate the changelog as required for this user-visible type change.

Document the WebSocket recovery behavior change
For Realtime callers using automatic recovery, #1007 changes an empty close frame from ending iteration to reconnecting, so applications that currently perform their own reconnection after iteration ends can now behave differently after upgrading. The commit itself advises keeping SDK recovery disabled in that scenario, but this generic changelog entry omits that migration guidance despite VERSIONING.md:14-18 requiring it for user-visible breaking behavior; surface the changed close-frame handling and the required configuration adjustment in the release notes.

Document the Responses alias serialization change
For Responses WebSocket callers passing both forms of a known nested key, such as text: {format_: ..., "format" => ...}, #1007 now raises ResponsesClientEventError before writing, whereas the previous release did not reject the call. This generic entry does not tell users that known aliases are now serialized to wire names and that they must supply either the alias or wire name, but not both, despite VERSIONING.md:14-18 requiring migration guidance for incompatible serialization and exception behavior; update the authoritative release input with that guidance and regenerate the changelog.

Document the conversation item-reference rejection
For Realtime callers that pass an item_reference to conversation.items.create or a typed conversation.item.create event, #978 changes the call from writing the event and allowing the service's error response to raising ArgumentError before any write. This entry only advertises support for developer messages in response input, so users cannot see the incompatible exception/timing change or the migration to response.create(input:) required by VERSIONING.md:14-18; update the authoritative release input and regenerate the changelog.
