현상

GitHub OAuth 로그인 후 리다이렉트는 되지만 Redis에 세션 정보가 저장되지 않음

버그 원인

connect-redis는 v9.0.0 릴리즈 노트에서 ioredis 지원을 공식적으로 중단했다:

This library no longer supports ioredis. It only supports redis (v5 and later) now.
Rationale: Due to the growing divergence between the ioredis and redis libraries, it was causing this library to maintain shims to synthesize the two, which was a source of issues and overhead.

8.x까지는 peerDependencies에 redis 클라이언트가 명시되지 않았지만(느슨한 동작), 9.0.0부터 redis: ">=5"가 명시적 peerDependency로 추가됐다(npm 확인). 이 프로젝트는 connect-redis@^9.0.0을 쓰면서도 클라이언트는 여전히 ioredis로 생성하고 있었던 것이 근본 원인이다.

RedisStore 내부 구현도 node-redis 전용 API를 호출하고 있어 ioredis와 호환되지 않는다.

client.set(key, val, { expiration: { type: 'EX', value: ttl } }) — node-redis 옵션 객체 형태 (ioredis는 set(key, val, 'EX', ttl) 같은 위치 인자를 기대)
client.scanIterator({ MATCH, COUNT }) — node-redis 전용 메서드로, ioredis 인스턴스에는 존재하지 않아 호출 시 즉시 오류

즉 세션 저장(set)의 TTL 분기와 조회 계열 메서드가 런타임에 정상 동작하지 않았던 것이 이번 버그의 원인이다.

작업 내용

ioredis 제거, redis(node-redis) 패키지로 교체
main.ts: createClient + await connect()로 비동기 연결 구조 변경, Redis 다운 시 무한 대기하지 않도록 reconnectStrategy로 재시도 5회 제한 후 fail-fast 종료
setWebBootstrap.ts: redisClient 파라미터 타입을 RedisClientType(redis)으로 교체

테스트 결과

pnpm build, pnpm test, pnpm test:e2e 통과
RedisStore의 set/get/touch/length/destroy를 스크립트로 직접 호출해 실제 Redis에 대해 검증 — TTL이 정상적으로 세팅·갱신됨을 확인 (기존 ioredis 조합에서 깨져있던 지점)
Redis 컨테이너를 내린 상태에서 API 기동 시 5회 재시도 후 fail-fast로 정상 종료됨을 확인, 재기동 후 정상 부팅 확인

리뷰어 참고사항

base 브랜치를 main이 아닌 feat/12-signout([✨ Feature] oauth 인증 - 로그아웃 시 accessToken 만료 #13)으로 설정했습니다. #13이 아직 open 상태라 diff 범위를 좁히기 위함이며, #13이 머지되면 GitHub가 자동으로 base를 main으로 재타겟팅합니다.
실제 GitHub OAuth 브라우저 로그인 흐름까지는 자동 검증하지 못해, RedisStore 동작을 직접 스크립트로 검증하는 방식으로 대체했습니다.

reconnectStrategy 미설정 시 Redis 다운 상태에서 API 서버가 fail-fast 없이 무한 재시도하며 기동이 영원히 멈추는 문제를 확인해 재시도 횟수를 5회로 제한

- Redis 클라이언트 생성 로직을 createRedisClient로 추출해 main.ts와 e2e 테스트가 공유 - 로컬 개발 환경과 충돌하지 않도록 별도 포트(5433/6380)의 e2e 전용 docker-compose 추가 - Redis 연결 실패 시 afterAll이 멈추지 않도록 연결 성공 여부를 추적해 정리
