Request: example config that just runs a single step / iteration #255
Description
Hey folks, just a quick request: I notice that I often want to run a single step of openevolve just to confirm my larger pipeline works without wasting a ton of tokens. I think it would be great if there was an example config where everything is setup to do the exact bare minimum. For eg. max_iterations: 1, etc.

You can run any config with

Is this minimal? For example, does the population size matter here?

No the population size won't matter, may have to set it to 2 to prevent some off by one error.

As answered above, run any config with
--iterations 1to do a single iteration, which is a cheap way to confirm a pipeline works. Closing since no dedicated example config is needed. Please reopen if you hit a problem with it.
