We have to ask the customer whether they want to be able to highlight a complete subtree in the phylogenetic tree (and via this, also highlighting all these strains in the strain view).
Currently, the following works:
- Click on leaf node: highlight the strain this leaf node represents with its own, unique color;
- Click on an internal node: 'hide' the subtree rooting at the internal node, by making it gray.
The customer might want both operations to work on each type of node. This shouldn't be too hard to accomplish in the drawables themselves, but the ColorServer class currently cannot handle one color being shared by several strains. This isn't a task to finish in the current sprint and it's also not something I want to embark on before being sure the customer actually wants it.
So, an issue to remind us :)
