Already on main:

• fix map!(f,dest::ChainedVector,src::AbstractVector) #116 map! into a ChainedVector from a shorter source (map!(f,dest::ChainedVector,src::AbstractArray) doesn't work for shorter src #115)
• Improve deleteat!(x,::Integer) #117 faster single-element deleteat! / pop! / popfirst!

Still open, in merge order:

• Treat indices from other ChainedVectors as linear indices #125 foreign eachindex indices no longer write into the wrong ChainedVector (fixes silent corruption from replace(f, x; count=n))
• Handle empty source chunks in map! #123 map! from empty ChainedVector sources
• Fix replace/replace! when count is supplied #118 replace/replace! with count across chunks (replace[!]() with count is broken #112); needs Treat indices from other ChainedVectors as linear indices #125 first
• Resolve method ambiguities with Base #126 method ambiguities; reduce(vcat, x) and findall(in(c), x) (Many method ambiguities #85)
• Clarify NaN sentinel identity comparisons #122 docs: how NaN sentinels match (Equality to Float64 NaN failing #104)
• Keep empty chained vectors valid when resizing to zero #128 resize!(x, 0) on an empty ChainedVector no longer throws

Also fixes a test guard: findmax(f, x) and non-Integer isodd need Julia 1.7, so the suite failed on 1.6. The full suite now passes there.

Before merging, update this branch from main so CI runs on the final tree, then register the merge commit.
