For checking whether git installed or not---

$ git

To provide linux command interface in windows git bash was made.

$ pwd (present worling directory)

Configuring the username and useremail for the given repo

$ git config --global user.name "Rakeshtitty"

User email:

$ git config --global user.mail "rakeshtitty@gmail.com"

For checking the username and user email on the current repo

$ git config --list

or

$ git config --user.name

$ git config --user.email

For choosing the editor in throught git

$ git config --global code.editor vim
